Stephanie Singer, NCPT

Stephanie is a Nationally Certified Pilates Teacher (NCPT). She earned her Pilates Equipment and Mat certifications in Rehabilitation and Conditioning Exercise through DK Body Balancing. Additionally, Stephanie has completed the BASI Pilates comprehensive training program, and is certified in the Stott Pilates Total Barre Method, and The NeuroRehab Movements Pilates for Neurological Conditions, which applies the latest research in neuroplasticity and neurorehabilitation to a Pilates based movement program.

Stephanie began her career in movement at the age of 13 when she was invited to attend the professional performing arts boarding school National Academy of Arts, where she studied ballet on scholarship during her high school years. Her dance background led her to develop a lifelong love of exercise and fitness activities.

A lower back injury led Stephanie to discover Pilates and she learned that years of reinforcing muscle imbalances and core weaknesses caused the debilitating injury.  Stephanie attributes Pilates to her return to exercise, and is passionate about encouraging others to develop a strong physical foundation so that they can continue pursuing the activities they love as they age.

Orginally from California, Stephanie spent her teenage years between her family home in Hanover, NH and Champaign, IL, where the National Academy of Arts was located. After graduating from Alfred University in NY, Stephanie spent many years in Boston and lived most recently in the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont. She now feels fortunate to call Sunapee, NH her home where she resides with her husband, two children and their golden retriever.
