I have had other Pilates instructors over the years, and I can honestly say that Stephanie has raised the bar. Her individual approach and sensitivity to each persons abilities and limitations make her a first rate teacher. I never thought I’d enjoy any kind of exercise, but I now look forward to each session with her.

Stephanie is a fabulous Pilates instructor. I am a yoga instructor and can really appreciate a teacher who notices anytime I am slightly out of alignment. Stephanie ensures everyone is safe and aligned in class. Everyone, regardless of level, gets a great workout.

I have taken Pilates from many different instructors and highly recommend Stephanie.

Stephanie is a highly skilled, experienced, and knowledgeable Pilates instructor and trainer. She excels at tailoring sessions to individual needs, and has a vast repertoire to draw upon to help you achieve your fitness goals. I especially appreciate the individual attention Stephanie provides. She knows all my strong and weak points, and can accurately identify what I most need to work on in any given session. I look forward to my individual sessions with Stephanie, and come away each time feeling better and stronger.

Build strength, increase flexibility, feel better.

Pilates benefits the elite athlete as well as the novice exerciser.  Whether you hope to improve your golf or tennis game, increase productivity in a physically demanding career, complete a DIY project, enjoy gardening again, walk around the block, run up a mountain, carry your children or grandchildren, Pilates can help make your daily physical activities more enjoyable.

four good reasons to add Pilates into your life

1. Strengthens ALL core muscles. Pilates trains us to identify, isolate and strengthen all core muscles, which encompasses the muscles of our back, pelvis and the abdominals. These muscles are designed to work together to support the skeletal frame. When they work in concert the efficency of movement increases and risk of injury decreases.

2. Identifies and addresses muscular imbalances. Whether it is normal daily life activities, leisure sports or competitive athletics we all tend to favor one side of our bodies while moving. This creates imbalances and movement patterns that, over time, can cause pain and limit our range of motion.

3. Increases strength and flexibility. Pilates will improve and enhance performance in any activity; cycling, running, skiing, yoga, CrossFit, tennis and golf– just to name a few!  Pilates focuses on correct muscle recruitment, which helps prevent overuse injuries and aids in rehabilitation.

4. Improves the Mind/Body connection. Joseph Pilates originally called his work "Contrology." He considered this to be a body/mind/spirit approach to movement founded on the integrative effect of the principles of centering, concentration, control, precision, breath, and flow.
